China's largest single-tank capacity hydrogen water electrolyzer recently successfully rolled off the line
The largest alkaline hydrogen water electrolyzer of single tank production capacity in China led by professional R&D team successfully rolled off the line recently, which can produce hydrogen 1300 m3/h standard, and up to 1500 m3/h, which is China's first set of commercial alkaline hydrogen water electrolyzer to achieve such scale and 6000 amps per square meter current density performance. The offline of the equipment marks the key technologies of high-performance large-scale electrolytic hydrogen production equipment mastered by the team successfully, and has taken a solid step toward large-scale "green hydrogen" production.
Recently, the development and application of key technologies for large-scale high-efficiency alkaline hydrogen production electrolyzer completed by the R&D team has successfully passed the scientific and technological achievements appraisal of the China Renewable Energy Society. The appraisal committee agreed that the technical achievements reached the international advanced level. This achievement is a concentrated reflection of the multi-dimensional and multi-level innovation of the R&D team in key electrocatalyst materials, the design of core electrode plate components, and the large-scale of electrolytic cell equipment.
"Green hydrogen" refers to hydrogen obtained through renewable resources and without carbon emissions in the production process, which is the future development direction of the hydrogen energy industry. "Hydrogen production by alkaline water electrolysis" is regarded as one of the broadest commercial application prospects. Its core component - electrolytic cell is the key to promote the practical hydrogen production technology improvement and breakthrough, and promote the large-scale application of hydrogen production by electrolytic water. Its performance will directly affect hydrogen production efficiency, energy consumption index and economic benefit. the latest development of the 13 MW hydrogen production system demonstrates the high-performance at large-scaled hydrogen production project. The highest current density is 2-3 times that of the current conventional electrolyzer, the volume of unit is reduced by more than one-third compared with the same grade equipment, the unit equipment investment can be reduced by 25%, and the DC energy consumption is lower than the standard 4.2 KWH/M2, which is significantly better than the other large electrolyzer in China. The unit will be connected to the local distributed control system (DCS), to achieve one-click start, unattended, remote monitoring, equipment interconnection and other functions as well.
In the next step, the technical equipment will be used for large scaled green hydrogen production in the local hydrogen industrial park in China, and supply downstream hydrogen energy industry, such as local hydrogen fuel cell vehicles and refineries.
