The double-sided rate of ABC component exceeded 70%
The newly developed technology of ABC solar component achieve breakthrough confronting to the common doubts about the low double-sided rate of BC batteries caused by the structural characteristics of BC batteries. The industry has traditionally believed that the double-sided rate is difficult to improve, coupled with high costs, and the limited its application eventually. However, with the newly release, ABC solar component series with high conversion efficiency and high double-sided rate have achieved the competitiveness entering into either distributed or centralized power market.
The double-sided rate of ABC solar component series can theoretically be at 75%, and then superimpose its own extremely high positive efficiency, and its comprehensive efficiency will be theoretically superior to TOPCon and HJT technology routes. Along the way of cost reduction, it is expected to reach at the same cost as TOPCon components firstly in June 2024, and then it will fully catch up with PERC components.
Up to now, various newly developed photovoltaic technologies are blooming. The rapid rise of TOPCon and HJT technologies are also stepping up the pace of scaled production, even more, the efficiency of perovskite and laminated batteries has repeatedly reached new highs. In contrast, BC battery technology has been viewed as to the "minority" route, and the great value contained has not been fully tapped out. While, with increasingly prominent performance highlights such as high conversion efficiency and high reliability, BC products have gradually become a highlight.
In recent years, China has continuously made great breakthroughs in the field of ABC cell and components. The world's first 70% double-sided ABC solar series launched at this conference will maximize value for customers in diversified scenarios.
In addition to raised double-sided rate and PV conversion efficiency, there have been many other technical advantages of ABC solar series .
High quality silicon wafer with high resistance and low oxygen, which improves the mass production efficiency effectively, the production process based on non-silver metal coating technology has been setting a new production model for the photovoltaic industry which leads to lower production cost. The innovative laser graphics control system has solved the traditional industry problems of the complex, high cost and low yield production process.
The power capacity of "ABC Series" components reaches at up to 640W. In addition, when the single battery is completely blocked, ABC component can guarantee 89.96% power output in contrast of 58.91% power output of traditional TOPCon component. Especially, after having been blocked for more than one hour, the temperature of ABC components can be controlled within 100°C, while the traditional component could be increased to 140-160°.
Followed the development trend of PV cell technology transition from P-type to N-type, N-type product matrix has been widely used in centralized power station as well as distributed industrial, commercial and household scenes.
In the centralized application scenario, the "ABC series" focus on solving the bottleneck ground and water application scenarios. For the ground scene, fully taking into account the limited land resources and the unequal irradiation conditions caused by complex terrain, the technology advantage of ABC series has excellent performance in improving the effective area usage, which leads to the reduction of the general cost of investment, operation and maintenance. For application sceneries near the beach, the ABC series features water-resistant packaging, anti-corrosion bezels and waterproof caps advantages. These technologies overcome the impact of salt spray, bird aggregation and bird droppings influencing upon the reliability of the components and power generation,so as to reduce the cleaning frequency and achieve stable power generation revenue throughout the life cycle eventually.
In distributed application scenarios, due to the front grid-free line and the higher power generation per unit area, ABC solar components are more popular especially in commercial and household rooftop PV markets whereas emphasize on architectural aesthetics.
Supported by solid R&D and production capacity extension, the scaled production will be further expanded to more than 40GW in China in 2024, and the cost is reduced to be same as TOPCon, while, its LCOE will be far lower than all current technologies."
It is foreseeable that in the near future, with higher power, higher double-sided rate, higher stability and adaptability to specific application scenarios, ABC series will be recognized by more customers and achieve more market share. Especially, the newly developed ABC solar components will be highly accepted by the world market.
