TOPCon PV Cells and Components
In 2013, at the 28th European PVSEC Photovoltaic Conference, a new type of passivated contact solar cell was first proposed by the Fraunhofer Solar Research Institute in Germany. That is, Tunnel Oxide Passivated Contact solar cell (TOPcon), which combines different electron/hole selective contact materials to form the ultimate efficiency of 28.7%, and the maximum conversion efficiency of the full-area battery reaches 26.1% at present. At present, the mass production efficiency of TOPCon still has a large optimization space compared with the theoretical limit efficiency of 28.7%, and the efficiency improvement path is more clear and clear.
Parameters of TOPCon Batteries
Conversion efficiency: 26.1% /182/2022
Technical route: LPCVD
Double-sided rate: > 80%
Low attenuation rate: first year attenuation rate approx. < 1%, then 0.4%
Warranty period: Up to 30 years, after 30 years, the output power is not less than 87.40% of the original output power
Low temperature coefficient: the component optimization temperature coefficient to -0.30%/℃, especially in high temperature environment, the power generation is particularly prominent in the whole life cycle: 6% higher than the PERC component.
