Small-scale hydrogen supply and refueling systems centered on local mobility (typically with local electrolyzer capacity of 1-10 MW or above):
These projects generally integrate the demand from mobility fleets in different regions (such as hydrogen fuel cell trucks, buses, airport shuttles, etc.). Hydrogen energy systems match comprehensive demand with joint-use hydrogen refueling stations and centralized clean hydrogen production, but are now shifting toward increasingly commercialized business models.
Medium-scale hydrogen systems focused on industrial decarbonization (typically with local electrolysis capacity of 10-250 MW or above):
These green hydrogen systems are usually located directly at sites where one or more large industrial consumers serve as "anchor loads", such as refineries or fertilizer production plants. Surrounding this "anchor load", the systems benefit from lower hydrogen supply costs. The key to the success of such projects lies in the seamless integration of hydrogen production from established (petrochemical) production processes into the anchor facilities.
